Nieuwsuur report - Children in Haiti taken from parents and disappearing abroad

On 2 June, Nieuwsuur broadcast a documentary about Judy and Ronald. The two men were adopted from Haiti in the 1980s using forged papers. A commission is investigating illegal adoptions of children from five countries. However, to date, adoptions in Haiti have not been investigated, although irregular adoptions took place there too. Indeed, even today it results in child trafficking. Children are taken from their parents, sometimes under false pretences, and disappear abroad with forged birth certificates.
