'Haiti & Identity' meeting for adult adoptees on 5 October
On 5 October 2019, Plan Kiskeya will be holding a 'Haiti & Identity' information meeting especially for adult adoptees. At this meeting, the Plan Kiskeya Foundation is hoping to reach adult adoptees in the Netherlands. We want to inform adoptees about the role of the foundation and how it can help them in their search for their biological families. We also want to contribute to their awareness about their backgrounds and their country of origin, and to help them understand their identity (role, position) as an adoptee. 'Identity' is therefore the central theme and will be approached from the following angles:
- Haitian identity
- Identity as an adoptee
- Physical/kinship (DNA)
